How to use this text to handwriting converter

  1. Add your text. Type or paste into the Your text box, or tap a sample chip — English, हिन्दी, اردو, Mixed or Long — to drop in ready-made text. Clear empties the box. The script is detected automatically per word, so English, Hindi and Urdu can share one page.
  2. Keep it looking hand-written. Leave the Realistic imperfection switch ON so every letter gets its own subtle variation. Flip it OFF at any time to compare against the uniform, robotic version.
  3. Pick your style. Choose a Handwriting font (Caveat or Patrick Hand for English, Kalam for English and Hindi, Noto Nastaliq for Urdu), an Ink colour (blue or black) and a Paper style (single-ruled, A4 margin-ruled with a red line, or blank).
  4. Fine-tune the fit. Drag the Font size slider (24–80 px) and the Line spacing slider (1.20×–2.80×) until the writing sits neatly on the ruled lines. If your text runs long, use the pager arrows to step through pages.
  5. Save your page. Click Download PNG for an image of the page you are viewing, or Download A4 PDF for a print-ready file containing every page at true A4 size.

How it works

The whole page is drawn on an HTML <canvas> right inside your browser. As you type, HandlyNotes wraps your words and paginates them to fit an A4 sheet. With Realistic imperfection switched on, each letter is nudged by a small deterministic amount — a touch of rotation, a vertical offset, a change in scale and opacity, and a little horizontal wobble — so repeated letters never look stamped from the same mould, yet the layout stays stable while you keep editing. Switch the toggle off and every glyph is drawn identically for a deliberately robotic look. Right-to-left Urdu is rendered as whole words so the Nastaliq letter-joining stays intact. Because the handwriting fonts are bundled locally rather than pulled from a CDN, the converter keeps working with no connection — it even runs when opened straight from a file:// path.

When you'd actually use this

Use it for your own work and honest projects — it is a formatting tool, not a way to pass someone else's writing off as your own.

Frequently asked questions

Is HandlyNotes free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it is free to use with no account, no sign-up and no tracking. Open the page and start typing.

Does my text get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser and your text never leaves the page — there is no server and no upload. It even works offline once loaded.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The layout is responsive, and both Download PNG and Download A4 PDF work in mobile browsers so you can save pages on a phone or tablet.
